The barrier cuff must be sealed.
If it is not, you get side leaks. That is a big problem. Our heat resistant hot glue is made for sealing the left and right sides of diaper barrier cuffs. It is also called cuff sealing glue or leg cuff sealing glue. The seal must be strong. It must not pop open. But the sealed area must also stay soft. No scratching. No rubbing on the leg. And the glue must not leak oil or contaminate the core. That is a lot of requirements for one glue.

We designed it for softness and strength.
We use a low-modulus SIS base with medium-softening-point resins. The glue works at 140-160°C. The melt viscosity at 150°C is 2000-4000 mPa·s. That low-to-medium range gives fine, even glue lines on high-speed slot or dot coating. No stringing. No tailing. The softening point is 75-90°C. That is a bit lower than structural glue. It gives a softer feel. But it still keeps the seal stable at body temperature. No softening. No popping open.

Heat seal strength on nonwoven is 3-6 N/25mm. After 500 dynamic stretch tests, the seal is still 100% good.

The sealed area feels soft. No hard spots. The friction coefficient on skin is below 0.3. That is the same as areas with no glue. No rubbing. No irritation. Plasticizer migration is below 0.5%. No contamination of the core. That is our heat resistant hot glue.
