Hook-and-loop takes a lot of force.
It is opened and closed many times. It is pulled and stretched. It must not come off. Our Magic tape adhesive is made for waistband and side wing bonding. Also for hook-and-loop attachment on diapers. This glue represents the peak of bonding strength for hot melt PSAs. It bonds hard-to-stick materials like PP, PE, nonwoven, and coated fabrics. It needs high inner strength. No residue. Good heat resistance. We call it the ultimate lock.
The blend gives very high inner strength.
We use SIS and SBS together. SIS gives elasticity. SBS gives strength and heat resistance. We build a strong 3D network. The working temperature is 150-170°C. That higher temperature ensures full melting. It wets low-surface-energy materials like PP and PE perfectly. The melt viscosity at 160°C is 3000-6000 mPa·s. High. The glue layer must be thick enough for high stress. The softening point is 90-105°C.

180° peel strength is 15-25 N/25mm. That is 2-3 times normal. Holding power lasts over 72 hours at 40°C with a 1kg load.

Even after 50 opens, peel strength loss is less than 20%. The waistband stays closed. When peeled, the glue breaks itself. No transfer. No stringing. No stain on clothes. In our 60°C/72 hour heat aging test, no softening. No flow. No lifting. That is our Magic tape adhesive.
