We have been making glue since 1979.
And in all that time, elastic has been one of the hardest things to stick. Our metallocene adhesive is made for waist elastics, leg elastics, barrier cuffs, and leak-proof elastics. The elastic is stretched 2.5 to 3.5 times. The glue must hold it there. Forever. It needs two things. Creep resistance. And stretchability. Creep resistance means the elastic does not pull back. Stretchability means the glue moves with the elastic. No hardness. No brittleness. A lot of customers ask us, "What is the best glue for elastics?" This is it.

We use SIS. It is the best.
SIS naturally has high elasticity and good initial stickiness. We add high-softening-point resins to improve creep resistance. The working temperature is 140-160°C. At 150°C, the melt viscosity is 2500-4500 mPa·s. On high-speed lines of 400-800 diapers per minute, it forms a fine, even glue web. That web wraps around every elastic thread. The softening point is 85-95°C. That keeps the glue stable at body temperature.
Here is the creep data.
At 40°C and 80% humidity for 7 days, creep displacement is less than 1mm. Creep recovery rate is over 95%.

The elastic does not go loose. The barrier cuff stays snug. The glue has very high inner strength. When peeled, the glue breaks itself. No thread slip. No residue. The glue layer stays soft. It matches the elastic. In repeated stretching tests, it does not get hard or break. That gives a very comfortable wear for babies. That is our metallocene adhesive.
