The waistband takes constant stress.
It is pulled. It is stretched. It is opened and closed. It must stay stuck. Our Side tape construction adhesive is made for bonding front and back waistbands. Also for sticking the waistband to the diaper body. This glue needs three things. Very high bond strength on hard-to-stick materials like PE, PP, nonwoven, and coated fabrics. Good heat resistance so it does not pop open in summer storage. No residue so it does not transfer when peeled.

We use a high-inner-strength SIS/SBS blend.
We add polar tackifying resins. That helps the glue wet and stick to low-surface-energy materials like PE and PP. The working temperature is 150-170°C. That higher temperature ensures full melting and good anchoring. The melt viscosity at 160°C is 3000-6000 mPa·s. High. The glue layer must be thick enough for high stress. The softening point is 90-105°C.

On PP and PE, 180° peel strength is 12-20 N/25mm. That is 2-3 times normal.

At 60°C for 72 hours, no softening. No flow. No lifting. The waistband stays stable in summer. When peeled, the glue breaks itself. No transfer. No stringing. After 30 opens, peel strength loss is less than 25%. The glue layer stays soft. Friction coefficient on skin is below 0.35. No rubbing. That is our Side tape construction adhesive.
