That is the goal of our Adhesive specifically for sanitary napkin cores. This glue goes deep inside the core. It does much more than simple bonding. It helps form the whole absorbent system. Bonding the core layers. Fixing the acquisition layer. Strengthening the middle seam. Wrapping the SAP core with tissue or nonwoven. The final goal is a perfect core. No clumps. No hard lumps. Even after absorbing a lot of liquid, the core stays in one piece. A lot of customers ask us, "How do you stop core clumping?" Our answer is this glue.
We designed this for wet conditions.
Most glues use EVA. But EVA breaks down in water. We use a special SIS/polyolefin mix. It keeps its chemical structure even after contact with body fluids. We also added a polar modifier. That increases the initial grip on SAP wrap and hydrophilic nonwoven. The glue works at 140-160°C. At 150°C, the melt viscosity is 3000-4500 mPa·s. That allows good penetration into the porous core. But it is not so thick that it blocks coating uniformity. It works great with fiber spray or dot spray on fast lines.
Wet strength retention is the lifeline.
In our tests, this product keeps over 70% of its strength after absorbing a lot of liquid. Normal structural glues are at 30-40%.

The glue does not migrate. It stays where you put it. No blocking of SAP. The glue layer is very soft after setting. No hard or stiff feel. That is our Adhesive specifically for sanitary napkin cores.
